Your health, well being and longevity is of the utmost importance to not just you, but all of the people that rely on you within your family and community. Good men are healthy men. They’re not just intellectually capable, but also physically capable and reliable to handle uncertain situations. Men that are physically healthy also enjoy a certain level of immediate respect when making new acquaintances and developing relationships. Slovenly, overweight and unkempt men instantly generate a negative bias against them within our society. Even though mediocrity is currently readily accepted, good men need to strive to rise above average and set high standards for themselves. Improving our health and well being is a foundation to overall self improvement. If your body is functioning at an optimal level, the rest of your life becomes easier.

As you go about your daily routine, start looking at the men around you. See if you can pick out the men that obviously care about their health and compare them to the ones who don’t. You will see men that have made simple choices on a regular basis for their betterment. These choices are as simple as choosing to exercise on a regular basis or not to eat foods that undermine their health. Choosing not to drink alcohol excessively and to not smoke. They are small choices and habits made on a regular basis that have become habitual and part of their lifestyle. They are constant.

The amount of information available online in regards to nutrition and health is unlimited. Any online search will find information that supports the argument that we should be proactively looking after our health in a more focused manner. Opinions may vary and marketeers will always be attempting to sell a product, diet or workout. One thing you will not find is encouragement for you to stay sedentary, overweight and unhealthy. Everyone knows being more active, eating healthier and behaving in a more health conscious manner is better for you.

So start making simple choices and start the journey to a better version of yourself as a man. The people that rely on you and care about your longevity will appreciate the effort you start to make.
